4th Annual Massage Rally Fundraiser
Fundraiser to provide a “Day of Self Love” for Victims of Domestic Abuse
Inside 3 Hands Bodyworks will host the fourth annual Massage Awareness Rally on Thursday August 28th from 9am till 5pm at the IDS building in downtown Minneapolis. This event will raise money towards providing a “Day of Self Love” for clients of Cornerstone, a domestic abuse agency located in Bloomington. Seated chair massages will be $10 for 10 minutes and the proceeds go towards a day of services for Cornerstone clients including a catered breakfast and lunch, a ½ hour of bodywork, paraffin treatments, personal gifts bags and workshops on empowerment, stress management, fitness and nutrition. EFay Imani, inside3hands owner, says “I’ve been inspired to contribute to these women in hopes to empower them and to show them that self love is the beginning and end to recovery.”
Founded in 1983, Cornerstone provides comprehensive support services to children, women and men who have been impacted by domestic abuse in order to help restore stability and hope in their lives. The agency’s programs include emergency shelter to anyone in need, transitional housing, legal services, counseling and support for children and teens who have witnessed family abuse. Cornerstone offers programs in the schools aimed at helping youth cope with anger in non-violent ways, dating violence and violence at home. Its community programs serve residents of the South Hennepin County cities of Richfield, Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and St. Louis Park.
